Junior Business Analyst

We are looking for a talented addition to our team for the position of Junior Business Analyst with experience in M&A and valuation, who will strengthen our rapidly growing finance team. What can you expect?

• Collecting and analyzing business requirements related to data from various accounting and BI systems under the guidance of more experienced colleagues.
• Participating in analyses of potential new investments and acquisition targets.
• Valuating potential new investments and acquisition targets.
• Analyzing and modeling data flows and processes related to financial and business matters.
• Supporting the preparation and interpretation of financial data and collaborating on the creation of financial models, including identifying and documenting system requirements for data collection and reporting.
• Testing and performing activities to ensure data quality and integrity, working closely with other teams such as BI and IT.
• Participating in the preparation of company budgets, cash flow planning, and various controlling reports.
• Supporting the preparation of materials for controlling and reporting for top management and banks, following established processes and in cooperation with the Senior Business Analyst and the Head of Finance Operations.
• You can look forward to working on smaller data projects or interesting tasks within larger teams, primarily using Excel.

What do we expect from you?

• At least 2 years of experience in financial controlling, financial analysis, or audit, with a focus on valuation and M&A. Experience from a Big4 firms is an advantage.
• You have a university degree in economics and a desire to further develop in the areas of acquisitions, valuations, and financial analysis.
• You have a solid understanding of corporate finance. Financial modeling, valuation, and cash-flow management are familiar to you.
• Advanced skills in MS Office Excel. Knowledge of SQL, VBA, or Python is a plus.
• You are quick with numbers, with strong analytical and logical thinking and a proactive approach.
• You work independently and are able to deliver required outputs at a high standard of quality.
• Fluent command of Czech and a very strong proficiency in English, as we operate within an international team and communicate in both languages.
