Software Engineer in Test (focused on Accounting & Tax Systems)

Your responsibilities will include automating tests, identifying and resolving bugs, and helping to ensure the smooth operation of our products. What's in store for you?

• Design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Primarily backend testing, including analysis of how to test specific features and defining use cases.
• Implementation of automated test data setup and cleanup, including managing third-party dependencies.
• Integration of automated tests into Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Collaboration with developers to define use cases, review test coverage, and participate in code reviews.
• Contribution to the development and implementation of functional code and unit tests.
• Active involvement in planning, prioritizing, and managing tasks in the test backlog.
• Identification and proactive mitigation of potential software risks through automated testing.

What do we expect from you?

• Minimum of 3 years of software development experience, either as an automation tester or developer.
• Strong background in international finance, including understanding of accounting, taxes, finance system integrations, and payment provider services. Knowledge of cryptocurrencies is a plus.
• Experience with QA technologies such as Playwright, Gherkin, Git, and running tests in CI/CD environments.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, PHP, Java, Kotlin, C#, or Go.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, including containerization and orchestration.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and experience with any of the following database systems: MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Ability to work independently in solving technical problems.
• Fluency in Czech and English; as an international team, we communicate in both languages (English at B2 level or higher).
