In the Senior Security Analyst role, you will be the frontline defender of FTMO’s digital assets and IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems stay secure and operational. Your main goal is to proactively protect us from cyber threats, handle security incidents as they arise, and ensure we comply with all necessary internal and regulatory policies.
Scan our infrastructure and applications to identify security vulnerabilities, and work with system owners to get them fixed.
Continuously design and improve security playbooks and BAU security operations processes.
Manage security incidents from early detection through post-mortem reviews, following established playbooks.
Create and share training materials to help our employees defend against phishing, malware, and other everyday security threats.
Evaluate security risks and build standards, procedures, and controls to effectively manage them.
Lead security meetings, present clear action plans to senior management, and execute on those plans.
Keep all technical documentation, security policies, and “as is/to be” posture records fully up to date.
A university degree (or equivalent education) in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
5 to 10 years of specific experience working in the information security industry.
Hands-on experience working with security technologies and implementing internal information security processes.
A background in navigating compliance and regulations within the financial sector.
Proven experience writing security guidelines, policies, standards, and processes.
Industry credentials such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
Certifications like Certified Ethical Hacker, CompTIA Network+, CWAPT, or Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst.
A solid working knowledge of industry security standards, including SOC2, ISO27001, and NIST.
Practical skills in ethical hacking and penetration testing to expose weak points before malicious hackers do.
Knowledge of computer forensics to collect data, analyze breaches, and prevent cybercrime.
The ability to use reverse engineering to patch software bugs or analyze malware.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to monitor IT systems, diagnose technical problems, and draw conclusions from data.
Strong persuasive communication skills to effectively gain the support and commitment of other teams and management.
