As the Solution Architecture Lead, you will be the strategic bridge between infrastructure and software development. You will define the technical vision for our global IT platform, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and resilient, while leading a team of highly experienced senior professionals.
What will you do?
Technological Planning & Strategy: Lead long-term technological planning, defining the architectural roadmap to align with business goals. You will anticipate future needs and ensure the IT landscape evolves sustainably over a 2-3 year horizon.
SDLC Governance: Define and govern the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes. You will ensure that development workflows are standardised, efficient, and secure across all engineering teams.
Oversee Analytical Work: Supervise the analytical phase of solution design. You will guide the gathering and structuring of technical requirements, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into robust technical specifications.
Technical Health & Debt Management: Actively monitor the “health” of the software ecosystem. You will implement strategies to identify, track, and systematically reduce technical debt to maintain system agility and stability
Platform & DX Ownership: Drive the strategy for the internal developer platform, ensuring tooling and processes maximise developer velocity and minimise friction (DX).
Team Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of senior technical experts, fostering professional growth and high performance.
Scalability & Resilience: Oversee the design of high-load, distributed systems to ensure they meet strict security and availability requirements.
System Vitality: A measurable reduction in technical debt and a shift toward a more modular, agile architecture.
Process Excellence: A standardized, friction-free SDLC evidenced by smoother releases and higher quality standards.
Engineering Impact: Tangible boosts in developer velocity and experience (DX) through better platform tooling.
Unified Standards: Successful adoption of consistent architectural and security protocols across all engineering teams.
Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).
10+ years in software engineering with significant time spent in a leadership role (e.g., Solution Architect, Staff Engineer, or Engineering Manager).
Proven track record of designing and managing complex, high-scale enterprise architectures.
Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns (Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture), Containerization (Kubernetes), and preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong capability in technological forecasting and planning complex roadmaps.
Ability to manage senior individual contributors and influence stakeholders without always having direct authority.
Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business leadership.
(Advantage) FinTech Acumen: Familiarity with the specific challenges of the financial sector (security compliance, data consistency, high-frequency transactions).
